While termite treatment in Mesa might be more likely to focus on the drywood termites, subterranean termites are found throughout the country. These termites enter homes through tunnels that are found in soft earth near the foundation of your home or in your home’s crawl spaces. The tunnels range from the width of a pencil to about an inch wide, and if you break them open you might see these small little cream-colored insects as they move from your home to their nest. Seeing them outdoors may not indicate a problem, but if the swarm is near your home you should be on the lookout for any other signs of an infestation close by. While you look for swarms of termites, you should also be on the lookout for any discarded termite wings.
