Bee, Wasp, and Africanized Bee Removal
Bees, wasps, and Africanized bees can be found in abundance throughout the state of Arizona. Many species are a vital part of life due their pollination abilities for trees, flowers, and crops, though some can be pesky, aggressive, and give painful stings.
As compassionate and experienced pest removal experts, Varsity Termite and Pest Control is extremely knowledgeable in identifying the type of bee or wasp invading your home and can recommend the best approach to address that specific insect. Our first plan of action is always to use the most eco-friendly methods to ensure your family, home, and the environment are not harmed in the pest control process.
While honeybees have an overall calm demeanor, Africanized bees are very aggressive in Arizona. they build nests inside the walls of homes or businesses, leading to extensive damage and honey production all over the electrical, insulation, and drywall.
Whether you have an invasion in your home, basement, patio, or by the kids’ play area outside, bringing in the professionals to address the problem is always a good idea.

Bee Removal Services FAQ
-
If you discover a beehive on your walls, roof, or ceiling, whether on the interior or exterior of your home, leave it alone. Do not attempt to remove it on your own! In many cases, beehives are like icebergs – the part that you can see is simply the tip of a much larger, unseen problem. Always contact a professional bee control service immediately to schedule an inspection. They will be able to assess the area, determine the type of bee present, and offer a variety of solutions to consider.

In most cases, you will not need to leave your property during the bee removal and relocation process. If the hive is outdoors, you will simply be asked to remain indoors throughout the entirety of the process for your safety. However, if the hive is indoors, you will most likely be asked to vacate the home during the process as our professionals remove the hive and eradicate the infestation from your home. Your safety is always our top priority as we deal with a bee infestation in or around your home!

The amount of time and number of visits needed for the bee removal process is entirely dependent on factors such as the size of the hive, the type of bees, the scope of the infestation, and the hive location. It can take 2-3 days for a colony of bees to die off during the elimination process, and sometimes longer. If the hive is located on a tree branch or under a shed, the removal could take just a half hour. If the bees are nested inside a wall or a roof, the process will usually happen over a couple days, requiring multiple visits.

The amount of time our experts need to remove an infestation of bees from your home or business is ultimately dependent on factors such as the location of the hive, the type of bees, the scope of the infestation, and the service we are providing. Relocation takes longer than elimination, as we need to be very conscious about every step of the process to ensure the bees and their queen remain unharmed and calm. We will always communicate with you so you know exactly what to expect during our services.

There are many actions homeowners can take to protect their home and property from a bee infestation. It is important to make sure you do not provide an ideal environment for survival. Bees tend to look for nesting sites that are protected and enclosed, and will investigate areas as small as 3/16 of an inch. They may even nest inside a cacti! Be vigilant about caulking all cracks in the walls, foundation, and roof. Fill or cover all holes in trees or other structures, and be sure to install mesh screens over any vents or irrigation boxes.
